Keyhole Brow Lift
The brow is our most fundamental communicator, conveying emotions and mood through subtle but powerful movement. Early in life it sends a message of youth, vitality and health but as we age, the message changes to old, tired and flat. A droopy brow also causes headache, heaviness, tiredness, forehead discomfort or vision loss all worse towards the end of the day or when driving. You will notice these symptoms resolve when you lift the brow with your fingers and surgery does the same. If you are in your 40s or early 50s and this is you, keyhole brow lift is most appropriate.

Under general anaesthesia, 4 keyhole incisions are made on the top and sides of the head within the hair line. The brow is elevated through these incisions and fixed with sutures. You may go home a few hours after surgery.
After keyhole brow lift
You may have a headache the evening after surgery and can take regular pain relief medications. You can remove the bandage day 1, then shower and wash your hair. Bruising and swelling may appear on the sides of the face and the upper eyelids can swell. Most people return to work within 2 weeks. Stitches or clips in the scalp will be removed at 10-14 days in most cases. The wounds will be tender, and the scalp will have patches of numbness, which settles over months. Only your hairdresser will see the scars.
